Top 7 Home Remedies for Melasma

Here, We are presenting a few of them.

1. Lemon Juice

The vitamin C of lemon is enough to remove any of the skin problems. It has bleaching and astringent properties. All you have to do is apply a lemon peel on your face or affected areas and wash it off after a minimum of 20 minutes.

2. Aloe Vera Gel

A wonder gel I call it. Just take a leaf, remove the sap from it, apply it on the affected area for a minimum of 20 minutes and wash it off. Apply it for as long as necessary. The mucilaginous polysaccharides are like a magic for human skin. The best part is, you can leave it on for as long as necessary, it won’t be visible and won’t cause any harm either.

3. Almonds

Grind 4-5 almonds. Make a paste with only honey or milk and honey. Apply it onto your face. Wash with warm water after a minimum of 30 minutes. The vitamin E in almonds has a nourishing and regenerating effect. It also lightens the skin.

4. Papaya

Papayas can be used in the form of its pulpy fruit or its skin. Either make a paste using the pulp and honey or apply it skin directly onto your face. Wash it within 5-10 mins since papaya is a warm fruit. Leaving it on for too long can cause slightly adverse effect to those with a sensitive skin.

5. Turmeric

Make a paste of turmeric, honey and gram flour. Apply it on the face and allow it to dry. Scrub it off. Its lactic acid and calcium helps in removing pigmentation. Apply for as many days as necessary. Applying turmeric powder directly will also do the trick except for the yellow color it may leave on your skin for a few hours.

6. Onion Juice

Grind a few pieces of onions and mix it with a few drops of apple cider vinegar. Apply it using cotton. Leave it on for some time and wash off. Pat it dry. Use it twice daily for immediate effects.

7. Sandalwood

Make a thick paste with sandlewood powder, milk, honey and turmeric. The turmeric can be avoided if you don’t like it. Other ingredients can be added to it as well… papaya, cucumber juice, tomato juice, orange juice, based on your preference. Apply the paste, allow it to dry and wash off. It lightens the skin and the results can be seen in as early as a week.

There are a lot of remedies for melasma. One of the best things to do is to apply a piece of any juicy vegetable or fruit that you just cutt and wash off often. You can do this even if you do not have melasma. It just enhances your beauty. There is no need need to go to a doctor or a pharmacist or have medications of any kind unless you have ignored it for too long and it becomes quite serious. My advice would be to go natural, look beautiful.
