Testicular cancer is cancer that occurs when cells begin to grow abnormally in the testis. Testicular cancer is a type of cancer that is quite rare, but this condition most often affects men in the age group of 15-49 years old.

The testicular is the male sex organ oval located in the scrotum. Testicular is an important part of the male reproductive system because this organ produces testosterone and sperm. Both products of testicular have a vital role in the development and function of a man’s sex. Here are the types of testicular cancer classified based on the type of cancer cells, namely:

Germ cells. The most common testicular cancer type occurring bout 95 percent of all cases. Germ-cell is a type of cell that the body uses to form sperm. This type of testicular cancer can be divided into two types, namely seminoma (growing and spreading slowly) and nonseminoma (growing and spreading rapidly).

Lymphoma. The type of cancer appears in about 4 percent of the overall cases of testicular cancer.

Tumor Leydig. The type of cancer appears in about 1-3 percent of all testicular cancer cases.

Tumor Sertoli. The type of cancer appears in about 1 percent of all cases of testicular cancer.

You need to check the health of your testicles regularly for early detection as the detection improves life expectancy for patients with cancer, including testicular cancer.
