For most people, the idea of mixing fat and oil in coffee brings negative reactions in their stomachs and confusion in their heads.

Most of you have probably never heard about a beverage that contains butter and coconut oil before. This combination sounds like something awful because most of us view butter and oil as something highly caloric and bad for our weight. So, it is quite natural to be skeptical and confused.

If you are like most people, then you probably try to find out how many calories each product you consume has. You also prefer non-fat coffee creamers (despite the fact that many of them contain palm oil) because this is one way to keep calories away from your body.

However, the main point is not to lose weight and be skinny, but to make changes that will make you healthier. By including some fat in the diet you won’t actually become fat. As a matter of fact, coconut oil which is rich in fat has the ability to speed up the metabolism which means faster burning of calories.

Unlike the majority of oils, coconut oil has medium-chain fatty acids (other oils have long-chain fatty acids). These fatty acids are processed in a different way which makes them used for accelerating the metabolism. According to a scientific study, two tablespoons of medium-chain fatty acids (from coconut oil) a day, boost energy use by 5% or burn 120 calories more per day.

On top of that, in addition to the many health benefits that coconut oil brings, it also tastes very good and makes foods and drinks delicious.

People usually believe that adding coconut oil to their coffee will make their coffee taste like coconut or make it very greasy, but that’s not true. With the help of a coconut oil coffee creamer, you will get a creamy and tasty coffee that is ideally spiced up with some vanilla, cinnamon, and organic honey. You will avoid dangerous preservatives, palm oil, and artificial sweeteners.

Make a combination of this special coffee and a healthy breakfast and you will get enough energy for the next few hours.

A few other reasons why you should consume coconut oil coffee creamer:

  • Coconut oil can’t make hot coffee cooler, which we can’t expect from cold cream and cold milk.
  • Coconut oil doesn’t dilute the taste. If you enjoy more robust coffees, adding coconut oil won’t affect their taste.
  • Coconut oil has a long shelf life while dairy-based creamers expire in a matter of days.
  • If you add coconut oil to your coffee, you will feel more energized and focused than drinking plain coffee.

Keep in mind that we are not talking about Bulletproof Coffee which is getting quite popular these days.

The popular Bulletproof Coffee comes with two tablespoons of grass-fed butter, two tablespoons of XCT oil or Brain Octane (they are several times stronger compared to coconut oil and don’t have any flavor), and one or two cups of coffee – mixed in a blender. Even though fat is useful, experts believe that this amount is too high.

Making Coconut Oil Coffee Creamer

Every individual has a different taste, so it’s up to you to determine the sweetness of your coffee. If you are not a big fan of sweet coffee, you can exclude honey or reduce the amount.

Ingredients:
  • Half a cup of organic, raw honey
  • ¾ cup of organic coconut oil (soft)
  • One teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • One teaspoon of organic cinnamon powder
  • One tablespoon of organic cocoa powder.

Take all the ingredients, put them in a clean bowl, and mix them well. Keep the mixture in a clean glass jar and seal it well.

Using Coconut Oil Mixture

Prepare your preferred cup of coffee (prepare an amount sufficient for two cups).

Pour two tablespoons of coconut oil coffee creamer while the coffee is still hot.

This is the time when you can also put one teaspoon of grass-fed butter. Keep in mind that this is completely optional and this butter is not part of the original creamer mixture. However, grass-fed butter has the ability to improve taste and creaminess.

Blend the coffee and creamer with the help of a blender for no more than ten seconds.

Put this special mixture in your favorite mug and enjoy your coffee!
