The number of people who are getting addicted to sugar is growing rapidly and this is especially true for the people in the United States. This specific addiction is one of the main reasons why there are so many obese people and people suffering from heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and cancer. Americans are taking incredible amounts of juices, soft drinks, energy drinks, processed foods, and candies every year. So, it is no surprise why there are so many people dealing with the so-called modern diseases.

Many people are addicted to sugar without being aware of this problem. If you want to find out whether you are addicted or not, check these five signs of sugar addiction:

  • Consumption of sugary products because of sugar cravings even when you are not hungry at all
  • Denying that you have a problem when it comes to sugar intake
  • Keeping chocolates and candies in a secret place in your home
  • Using sugar treats to reward yourself
  • Consumption of certain foods even though you should avoid them.

Remember that it is impossible to satisfy your need for sugar because the body craves more sugar when we eat large quantities of this product. Finding a way to stop sugar addiction is crucial for your overall health.

There are many different benefits of reducing sugar intake. For instance, you will feel much better, you’ll improve your physical appearance and every organ in your body will function in a better way. Many people think that ending this addiction is not possible, but there is an efficient meal plan that lasts for three days that can help any person solve this problem and start following a diet free of sugar.

Day One

Breakfast – take one cup of oats mixed with almonds (you can also use seeds) and berries. Feel free to consume three scrambled or boiled eggs instead of oats.

Snack – take one small bowl filled with nuts.

Lunch – take one chicken breast mixed with a small number of beets, butternut squash, carrots, turnips, beans, almonds, and parsnips.

Dinner – take some broiled fish together with a small bowl of green beans. Instead of this meal, you can take salmon with some mushrooms and broccoli.

Day Two

Breakfast – take one cup of oats and mix them with almonds or seeds and berries. You can also eat two or three scrambled eggs with some spinach.

Snack – take one small bowl filled with nuts.

Lunch – Take grilled yellow peppers, red peppers, and zucchini with vinegar, thyme, and lemon dressing. You can also eat a salad that includes green cabbage, red cabbage, and some carrots dressed in lemon, salt, and olive oil.

Dinner – take soup based on steamed green veggies and baked cod together with a veggie casserole. You can also eat baked cod and bok choy, grilled turnips, and Brussels sprouts too.

Day Three

Breakfast – take one cup of oats mixed with almonds or seeds and berries. You can eat an omelet (three eggs) with some seasonings instead.

Snack – take one small bowl filled with nuts.

Lunch – make chicken thighs (roasted) and add sage, rosemary, and lemon. You can also eat chicken roasted together with onion, olives, and thyme.

Dinner – take soup based on garlic, mushrooms, thyme, bay leaves, carrots, and celery. Feel free to eat penne pasta based on brown rice with mushroom, basil, and tomato-based sauce instead.

Don’t forget that the things you drink are equally important as solid food. By consuming water all day long, you will get proper hydration and all the processes in the body will go on without any problems. Instead of drinking sugary juices, soft drinks, and energy drinks, you should take some (or all) of these detoxification beverages to boost the metabolism and eliminate the traces of sugar from your system.

  • Tea – take green tea or some other natural tea based on herbs 2-3 times a day. Of course, don’t add sugar.
  • Cleansing water – in order to prepare cleansing or detox water, chop some strawberries, blueberries, oranges, grapefruit, and fresh mint and rosemary. After that, place all the ingredients in a clean jar and fill it with water. Keep the jar with the mixture in a refrigerator and consume this special drink on a regular basis.
  • Coffee – consume one cup of black coffee on a daily basis. Don’t add any sugar to the coffee.

With the help of this 3-day plan, you should be able to prevent sugar cravings and improve your health.
